Raspberries!

Our first U-pick outing of the season was for raspberries!
The bushes are bursting with them this year, so we decided to help out and pick some!

Even people who don't eat raspberries helped pick...

They told us it would be $2.50 for a heaping container full.
And "eat as many as you like", they said.
So he did...
And his container did take a bit longer to fill up than ours.

Truth is - you just couldn't resist!!
 They were so yummy!

We ended up with four full containers.

They were delicious!
Next time - blueberries!

I just put some raspberries together with apple slices and grapes, pour a mixture of lemon, water and sugar over... It was delicious! Rosie doesn't like raspberries so mama has to eat them! The cross I bear... ha!

  3. I'm sure I told you of the times in Newsome when ol' Bowser and I would go for a walk every day at noon; and then during Blackberry season, we both would have a sumptuous lunch of berries every day. I would pick 6 or 7 berries and lay them in a pile on the road and Bowser would yummy them up. Then I would pick another 6 or 7 for me and do the same. I'll wager that on some days we each would have 100 berries. If I had been with you, I would probably have eaten a whole container while filling my "real" container to a "grandma's measure"...
