Missing England

I honestly have a hard time believing that we have been back from England for 4 years now. We left on 12 February 2006. Sometimes it seems like so long ago, but most of the time, the memories are still fresh and vivid.

The first six months after we returned were extremely hard. I was as excited as anyone to return to the states, but once we arrived, I ached for England everyday...wishing that Donald's company would send us right back. Obviously, as time went by, the acute sadness passed.

But I've never stopped missing England.

I miss all the things it's known for...

But most of all, I miss the places and times that were special to us...

We are soooo blessed with a wonderful life here. We are always making new memories and I feel like our lives are full. I am very happy and content.

But I know that there will always be a little hole left in my heart that only England can fill. I am so grateful for the chance we had to be there...not just for a visit, but to live there and be a part of it for three and a half years!
